Learning how to play the guitar...Help?

And I was wondering, what will I need to buy?
Obviously I'll need to buy a classic/acoustic guitar, but what else
would you recommend?
A pick?
Tuner?
How long does it take to get the basics down? Like, how long before I
can play knowing where the notes are?
I can somewhat already read music if that helps...
Anything else?
