Guns N' Roses Announces First U.S. Tour in Five Years
Guns N' Roses is headed back out on its first U.S. tour in five years.our editor recommendsAxl Rose Sues Activision for $20M for Including Slash in 'Guitar Hero' The band announced Wednesday, the same day R.E.M. made its breakup official, that it will kick off its fall trek beginning Oct. 28 in Orlando, FL before wrapping up on New Year's Eve. Prior to the U.S. tour, Guns N' Roses will perform in Latin America, first closing out the Rock in Rio music festival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Oct. 2. PHOTOS: Top 10 Highest-Paid Music Artists The upcoming U.S. tour will feature a two-and-a-half hour show, featuring the band's hit songs. In addition to Orlando, the tour is scheduled to stop at Miami, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Nashville, Denver and Indianapolis, just to name a few cities. Band members Axl Rose, DJ Ashba, Dizzy Reed, Tommy Stinson, Richard Fortus, Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, Chris Pitman and Frank Ferrer performed 71 shows last year in more than 30 countries. The band's latest album, Chinese Democracy, debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 charts and was certified platinum in the U.S. More dates and cities will be announced shortly.
