Annette Bening joins cast of Imogene

** *Annette Bening has been cast to play the mother to Kristen Wiig's* *suicide-faker in comedy _Imogene_.* "It's basically about a girl who kind of pretends to kill herself... to get her recently ex-boyfriend's attention. She ends up having to go live with her mom, whom she hasn't seen in years" states Wiig. Bening will portray the estranged gambling addicted mother of a Wiig's New York playwright. Wiig is hot property following the success of _Bridesmaids_ (which she also co-wrote), and Bening was nominated for yet another Oscar this year for her work in _The Kids Are All Right_. Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini (_American Splendor_) are directing what is said to be Wiig's "passion project".
